Team Ninja's Xbox 360 work revealed
News - Itagaki hints in mag interview
Team Ninja has divulged a few snippets of in for on their projects for the next-gen console. Speaking to Japanese magazine Famitsu recently, Tomonobu Itagaki let it be known that work on Dead or Alive 4 was taking up "90 percent" of the studio's time. Given this commitment it’s reassuring to hear that Mr. Itagaki has the content for the beat-em up sequel “completely finalised” in his head. "Originally, I thought up 300 ideas, and now it's reached the point of being narrowed down to maybe 30."
He also mentioned a spin-off title from the series, the mysterious Dead or Alive Code Cronus, reportedly an action RPG of some sort. This personal pet-project remains shrouded in secrecy although it now seems likely that it will make an appearance on the Xbox 360.
Mr. Itagaki also talked a little about the remastering work currently under way on Ninja Gaiden. Set to appear either as "Ninja Gaiden Perfect Edition" [presumptuous? – Ed] or "Ninja Gaiden Hurricane Pack Series", the game will give the classic game a good buff and polish for the Xbox 360, as well as incorporating the changes and additions made to the game via the Live service. More details on these projects are expected at E3 in a few short weeks time.
