Rockers reveal new Spec Ops

News - Queens to pen score, too

In sparse but interesting news, MTV have revelaed in an interview that a brand new Spec Ops game is en route, courtesy of 'sexy' Take 2 Interactive division Rockstar. The interview is actually with US rockers the Queens of the Stone Age, who mention in their chat they are currently working on the score for the new project. No specifics, unsurprisingly, are given regarding the latest instalment of the team-based stealth shooter. At least we know the music should be good, however.

Josh Homme and Alain Johannes are the members of the band penning the new soundtrack, Homme commented "I can't play any video games when we're on tour or in the studio because then I would get addicted. And I don't need any more addictions," he quipped. "But the whole thing was great because it was so easy. It's way easier than writing a song, because with video-game music, everything just needs to be, like, 30 seconds long."

We'll keep our eyes peeled for more on this.
