Third-parties plot new DS games
News - Sega, Namco and konami consider handheld titles
American games magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly has been doing a spot of digging among the development community and has dug-up a spate of previously unannounced new DS games which could be in the offing soon - if Nintendo's wishes are fulfilled. Toshiro Nagoshi of Sega told the report that he'd "love" to create a Monkey Ball for the DS, whilst the Sonic Team's Yuji Naka revealed that a version of Chu Chu Rocket for the DS is already being planned, though won't be made until his team complete Project Rub.
Konami meanwhile hinted at a Silent Hill survival horror game for the new platform, and the publisher's Koji Igarashi also mentioned a new Castlevania too. Finally, a Namco developer confirmed that they hope to develop a game in the Kaitos series for the DS, demonstrating further the fondness developers already have for the new gizmo - even pre-launch.
We'll keep our eyes peeled for more concrete DS title news, and bring you it as we get it.
