THQ, Capcom and Warner sign up for EA's Origin platform

News - Not competing with Steam, eh?

EA has managed to sign up some of the other major publishers to distribute PC titles on their new digital platform, Origin.

THQ, Capcom and Warner Interactive have all signed on to distribute their PC content through Origin making the new platform seem more and more lite a valid competitor to Valve's Steam.

The new releases will begin in November with THQ's Saints Row: The Third and Warner's Batman: Arkham City arriving on Origin before EA launches Star Wars: The Old Republic on December the 20th.

EA's David DeMartini said: "Since launch, we've had overwhelming support from both publishers and developers across the gaming industry, recognizing Origin as an opportunity to deliver more of their great content straight to consumers across the globe. We're excited to welcome Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, THQ and Capcom as the first publishers to offer their games via Origin."

Battlefield 3 is the first major release to arrive on Origin since it's launch earlier this year.
