[Update] Resident Evil HD remakes given release dates in the US

News - UK dates now confirmed

The HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X have been dated for release in the US.

Both games have already been dated for digital and retail releases in Japan under the Biohazard moniker on September the 8th to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise.

The series has sold a whopping 45 million copies since it debuted on the PSOne way back in 1996 and it shows no sign of slowing down now with Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City due out next year.

Resident Evil 4 HD will arrive in the US on September the 20th and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD will follow on September the 27th. No UK release details have been announced as yet.

Capcom today (27/07/11) confirmed that Resident Evil 4 will launch in Europe on the 20th of September on Xbox Live Games On Demand and the 20th September on the 21st on PSN. Resident Evil: Code Veronica X will launch on the 27th of September on Xbox Live Games on Demand and September the 28th on PSN. They will only be available as digital downloads in the US and Europe.Both games will be priced at 1600 MS points and 15.99 GBP respectively.
