While Capcom's Tokyo Game Show announcements were heavily skewed toward Western gamers, one title did stick out like a sore thumb: the CyberConnect2-developed Asura's Wrath.

The latest issue of popular Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu gets more in depth with the hectic action game, featuring an interview with CyberConnect2 staff. While Asura's Wrath is still largely shrouded by mystery, the development team was quick to strike down a few misconceptions about the title.

Asura's Wrath won't be: powered by Capcom's internal MT Framework engine - the team has opted for Unreal; multiplayer - the game has no competitive or co-op modes, and won't receive any through DLC; easy - the game has a high barrier to entry; full of items or leveling mechanics - CC2 wants the focus to be on the action; conventional - the dev studio wants to push the boundaries of traditional action games.

With no announced release date, CyberConnect2 and Capcom should have plenty of time to figure out what the game does consist of.
