F1 2010 focuses on authenticity
News - Cars will handle like the real thing
The team at Codemasters - working on F1 2010 - have been focussing on creating an authentic F1 experience.
The F1 2010 experience will be very simulation-based but Codemasters are promising that this will make the game more accessible to more casual racing fans.
Chief designer, Stephen Hood said: "The preference has always been to go down the simulation path. You can make a realistic sim easier to play for somebody but it's very difficult to take an arcade handling system and make that appeal to people who prefer simulation handling."
The team has focussed heavily on harnessing the twitchy way in which F1 cars handle.
F1 2010 is due out this September for Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC.
