F1 2010's chief designer Stephen Hood and senior producer Paul Jeal have been talking about how the newest Formula 1 title is shaping up.

Hood and Jeal have been speaking to Edge Online in an interview about making the best game possible for both casual fans and F1 die-hards.

Hood goes first: "As far as Im concerned, the focus is to make this title as good as possible. Theres certainly not anything were holding back for DLC. Were already stretching ourselves to make this cool game, knowing that weve got the contract for 2011 and that it might be extended beyond that, but it might not."

He continues: "So this could be our one shot at making a decent Formula 1 game, and I want to leave as much trouble as possible for people who pick up after us. Because the previous F1 titles havent, theyve always been a checklist."

Jeal goes on to talk about some of the features that didn't make the cut this time around. He said: "Several features haven't made 2010 but thats because were stretched to full capacity. Features like the upgrade system, the media aspect and the development of the car throughout the season are more important to us than the safety car or formation laps. But were not discarding those others, and were already having discussions about 2011."
