Codemasters' Paul Jeal has been talking up the flexibility of the gameplay in their new Formula 1 racing title.
In an interview with Gamerzines, Jeal, who is the game's lead producer, explained how they have been trying hard to make sure that F1 2010 will appeal to casual and hardcore gamers alike.
Jeal said: "Car setup is a classic example, if you want to dive in and tinker around with springs and stuff you can do it, but there's several levels above that as well. There's three or four layers to the car setup which will appeal to everyone."
"The die-hard F1 fans are going to love and cherish those features, but for someone who isn't experienced it can get complicated," Jeal continued. "The great help we have there is that the player is the driver and they have their team and their race engineer, so it isn't about the player always doing all the work."
Formula 1 2010 is due out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in the autumn.
