A preview in the latest issue of PC Gamer as reported on by Fallout franchise fan siteDuck and Cover lays out the conflict between three factions: the New California Republic, slavers consortium Caesar's Legion, and the residents of New Vegas.
While it's not clear where you character fits, you're certainly not the wide-eyed vault dweller of past instalments; instead, you're given a Pip Boy from a former vault resident.
PC Gamer makes clear the game is fundamentally similar to Fallout 3, though the addition of new companions, a reputation system complementing karma, and new weapons promise a different experience when the game is released in autumn.
