New Mario Bros. could outsell MW2 - Fils-Aime
News - Exec sees single-platform success
Speaking with GTTV (thanks VG247), Reggie Fils-Aime has said that New Super Mario Bros. could outsell Modern Warfare 2 - on a single platform at least.
The chatty exec believes the new platformer will muster more Wii sales than Modern Warfare 2 will manage, individually, on the PS3 or Xbox 360.
Fils-Aime admits that it will be a close run thing, especially with some commentators calling the arrival of the new Modern Warfare game the biggest entertainment launch of all time.
Still, the new Mario Bros. for Wii is likely to be no slouch, so perhaps Nintendo's American boss sees something we don't. Either way, we'll start to find out this Tuesday, when Modern Warfare 2 is released.
