Left for Dead 2 content unveiling a mistake
News - Rumors denounced by Valve
A few days ago the news broke, to the delight of many, that some PC gamers had hacked the Left for Dead 2 demo and uncovered, among other tidbits, the names of upcoming DLC for the game. As far as those names go, the hope has been quashed.
In response to the information regarding the 'Miracle' and 'Apocalyptic' packs, Valve's Chet Faliszek stepped forward to clear things up. As quoted in VG247, he stated, "If you're reading in the forums and you're reading about the 'Miracle' DLC or whatever, that's test code. To get tested through Microsoft certification, we had to do test scenarios with DLC."
Faliszek also went on to state the fact that Valve hasn't even internally released all the future plans for the game and briefly discussed the subject of the original survivors: "They're not dead, so we'll see what happens with that," he stated, "Theyre not undead either."
So if you had already gotten giddy over seeing what an 'Apocalyptic' or 'Miracle' pack could entail, sorry to break the news.
We will update as more announcements are released.
