Cross-game voice chat heading to PS3?

Word in from UK blog VG247 this morning reveals that cross-title voice chat could be hitting the PlayStation 3 console next month.
Sources close to Sony apparently reveal that the new facility will be unleashed across PSN by the end of October, with developers being informed of the new feature's imminence now.
The new capability will be added via firmware update 3.10, according to reports, while this improvement has apparently been one of the most frequently requested PSN additions from PS3 players.
