Japanese PS3 sales still depressed pre-Slim
News - DSi leads this week's chart
The latest hardware sales figures are in from Japan, and once again the numbers make poor reading for Sony, the PS3 barely registering as customers await the arrival of the PS3 Slim - with totals expected in next week's chart.
For the week ending August 30th, it was all about the DSi handheld, which managed just shy of 60,000 sales. The PSP was second with just over 26,000 units sold.
Third was the Wii with over 25,000 sales, followed by a big drop down to the DS Lite which managed in excess of 7,000 sales during the week.
The Xbox 360 managed a solid figure just a few dozen units shy of this, followed by another step down to the PS2 on 3,000 - the PS3 last with just over 1,000 sales. More shortly.
