News - Carmack hints at old project

According to id Software boss John Carmack, the game maker were hard at work on another game before pulling the plug and beginning work on Rage.

Chatting to CD-Action, the programming wizard revealed that his team "aborted" an early title, before "rebooting into Rage".

Beyond action-racer Rage, the Bethesda-owned firm are working on Doom 4; which will also make use of Carmack's Tech 5 game engine.
