New Bungie game requires top publisher
News - Bethesda believe they are big enough
Only the very biggest publishers will have the clout to publish Bungie's new, unannounced title, that's the conjecture of Bethesda executive Ashley Cheng, who seems to be throwing his own firm into the mix.
Bungie have yet to reveal anything on their new non-Halo project, but we do hear that internally the studio is honing in on a publishing deal for the game.
"You can count on one hand the number of publishers around who can afford to publish Bungie's next game: EA (via EA Partners), Activision, Ubisoft, Microsoft, and of course, Bethesda. I can only imagine how much it will cost to snag their next title," Cheng said in a new interview.
"There is one more publisher who could get into the game: Sony. That would be interesting. Unlikely," he added.
Are Bethesda angling for a deal? We'll keep you posted.
