Only one PS3 title has passed a million stateside
News - New stats surprise us
According to an interesting piece of analysis from GameSetWatch (thanks VG247), just one PS3 game has so far sold more than one million units at US retail; Resistance: Fall of Man.
Based on figures from NPD Group (who collate monthly totals that send the business world crazy), only the first Resistance title has sold more than a million copies (outside of bundles with the console), with just LittleBigPlanet coming close.
Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Uncharted and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue are all still stuck in the 500 to 750,000 bracket - we're told.
Analysis from the article in question suggests that while Sony have been pushing new IPs hard, they should really now be focussing on some sequels in order to garner some hefty numbers.
Of course, it's also worth noting that when game-console bundles are included titles like Uncharted have faired somewhat better than you might think; so perhaps Sony don't have too much to fret about.
