DSi still leads in Japan

News - Sales still depressed out East

Last week's Japanese sales were still looking a little lack lustre; a combination of recession and a somewhat barren games schedule combining to leave the latest Famitsu numbers looking somewhat paltry.

Starting at the top, the DSi still leads, as it did last week, with sales nearing 37,000, followed by the PSP on nearly 27,000. Then there's the Wii with 18,000, before a giant leap down to the PS3.

PS3 sales for the week just topped 10,000, followed by the Xbox 360 - which is actually doing slightly better - with over 8,000.

Next up is the DS Lite, with over 5,000 units sold, followed by the PS2 in last place with over 3,000.

All the latest from Japan as we get it.
