Choplifter coming from inXile?

News - New filing hints at ancient revival

A new filing with the US Patent and Trademark office reveals that inXile could be hard at work on a remake of Atari era classic Choplifter.

It sounds as if something for the Xbox Live Arcade, WiiWare or PlayStation Network Store could be in the offing, the game filed in the 'downloadable electronic games via the Internet and wireless devices' section.

Another possibility is that Choplifter will return on the iPhone, the 1982 favourite offering a range of side-scrolling battle and rescue missions.
