President and COO of Sega US Simon Jeffery has announced that he is departing the publisher, and is set to join iPhone developer and publisher ngmoco; the firm founded by ex EA chief Neil Young last year.
Jeffery is a veteran of the games industry, having previously held lofty roles at Sega and LucasArts, and will now becoming chief publishing officer at ngcomo.
The exec will front the new Plus+ publishing group at the start-up, aiding new developers who want to make use of ngcomo's infrastructure.
As well providing publishing assistance, Plus+ provide social networking features and game matching middleware for iPhone developers. More on Jeffery's new role as we get it.
