America's Army 3 launches via Steam

The third title in the US army-backed America's Army series of promotional action games is set to be delivered via Steam, we learn today. The game will launch officially on June 17th, but will be available for pre-loading from this week.
Those grabbing the new game via Steam are promised key Steam features; "auto-updating, Steam Achievements, and Steam Cloud."
An authentic experience is promised, based on real military training, technology, and careers - and as with past releases this offering will be free - paid for by the army itself.
"We are very excited to work with Valve to distribute AA3 on Steam as it gives us access to great distribution technology as well as a tremendous user base," offered producer Marsha Berry.
