A hardcore focussed Nintendo game is on the way alongside Team Ninja, who will deliver Metroid: Other M to the Wii console.

Action-packed, cinematic gameplay is promised in some very slick footage we were shown, the new title set to arrive in 2010.

This release, aimed at the Wii's 'serious' audience, promises a new kind of Metroid game - building on the universe and Samus's story.

This Nintendo published release will join Resident Evil and The Conduit in building upon the platform holder's hardcore credentials.
