Microsoft's E3 briefing has just concluded, with attendees treated to not only the introduction sequence from Harmonix's opus, but also a demonstration of the game itself from their in-house team.

Taking to the green-bedecked stage, the performers played a rendition of 'Day Tripper', complete with three vocalists, while were also shown the games varied and somewhat psychedelic in-game visuals.

Ten of the tracks from the game were also unveiled: Day Tripper, I saw Her Standing There, I Want to Hold Your Hand, I Feel Fine, Taxman, I am the Walrus, Back in the USSR, Octopuss's Garden, Here Comes the Sun, and Get Back

Forty-five tracks will feature in total, in addition to never before heard studio chatter from the band. The game will also boast impressive DLC, including full albums - Abbey Road being the first.

All You Need is Love will be added as DLC to the rhythm-action title, proceeds going to the charity Doctors without Borders. Yoko Ono then took to the stage to rampant applause, but her arrival was dwarfed by Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney's appearance on stage - perhaps E3's biggest celebrity appearance ever?
