N-Gage titles pirated Online
News - Bad news for Nokia
Nokia were yesterday fuming as it came to light that the device's storage media - SD Cards - has been broken by a hacker who has subsequently posted the entire N-Gage game catalogue online for download. This breach of security not only allows N-Gage owners to blag the games for free; but apparently also allows owners of other high-end mobile's to play N-Gage titles, too!
Naturally, this is very bad news for Nokia, who seemed convinced of the devices security until this occurred. They have vowed to aggressively pursue the offending parties, as well as promising security improvements in the future and N-Gage specific game features that will prevent titles running on other platforms.
Nokia will apparently be shutting down all websites that link to the 'crack' software, and are "treating this very seriously," a spokesman told The Register. Adding that "as soon as we saw these claims posted on the Internet, we started to investigate."
