Japan's World Collection increases
News - New additions to the World Collection
A number of sources are today reporting a new selection of cheaper-priced Xbox titles about to be unveiled in the Pacific region; including the lucrative Japanese market. The titles are all English language versions, re-packaged with Japanese manuals but no translation in-game. Thus a retail price in the region of €38 is predicted; which is certainly a fair-bit cheaper than full-price games in the region.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, The Simpsons: Hit and Run, Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War and Wakeboarding Unleashed will all be joining the 'World Collection' from late December - with Microsoft apparently planning another twenty titles by summer 2004. The World Collection already boasts the likes of Tao Feng and Outlaw Golf/Volleyball, so Redmond clearly feel there is a niche to be carved in offering these English games at a lower price.
More on this as we get it.
