EA Sports titles big online
News - Half a billion games played since last summer
EA Sports this week confirm that their games have been played more that 500 million times online, since the 09 product series kicked off last summer.
Apparently, 2.2 million bouts are played online every day, while the quantity of games being played is up 175 per cent since launch.
"Online game play allows real-time competitions with fans from around the world who speak the global language of sports," enthused EA Sports chief Peter Moore.
"EA Sports is committed to providing personal access to the emotion of sports by continuing to create immersive online features, compelling new downloadable content and daily real-time stats updates."
Madden NFL 09 and FIFA 09 are EA Sports' biggest online hits, we're told.
