Yoshida hints over new PS3 exclusives

European chief David Reeves may be all about the bling (well, turning a profit from the PlayStation 3 in the coming year, anyway), but Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida is all about the games (man).

Speaking with PlayStation.com, Yoshida said that the next 12 months will represent the year of "big, exclusive PS3 titles."

He enthused: "Just to name a few, the year will start with the much anticipated launch of Killzone 2, followed by a fresh, new take on the superhero/anti-hero open sandbox genre inFamous, a mind-bending thriller Heavy Rain, a massive 256 player simultaneous online shooter MAG, an augmented reality, virtual pet in your room experience EyePet, and some more big titles that we have not even announced yet."

Ex-Worldwide Studios chief Phil Harrison (now Atari president) has said he's looking forward to 2009's array of MMOs set for the PS3, too.
