Space Siege plans unfold
News - New Chris Taylor RPG detailed
Although we first spied Space Siege a couple of days prior to E3, the event has seen publisher Sega and developer Gas Powered Games further detail this 'spiritual sequel' to Dungeon Siege.
Chris Taylor is once again at the helm for this new project, and we're told to expect a 'chilling' sci-fi RPG, incorporating tactical combat, and dynamic environments, that will play a crucial role in the action. You'll be accompanied on your adventures by HR-V, a customisable robotic side-kick.
HR-V will follow your commands in strategic manoeuvres, and you'll be able to alter the robot's armour and weaponry as the game progresses. Special moves will even be possible when combining your character with HR-V.
Of course, your own character will learn new skills and increase in strength as you move through the game, and there will be cybernetic technological implants to acquire.
A branching storyline is promised and a separate online co-op campaign for up to four players is also on offer. A release in 2008 is on the cards.
