Sony exclusive deals: NCsoft, UT3, Haze et al

News - More than 100 games on the way

Big cheese Jack Tretton has told attendees at Sony's E3 press event that Korean MMO specialists NCsoft are 'joining the PlayStation camp'.

Apparently, NCsoft will be creating new online games exclusively for the PlayStation Network, titles that won't be available elsewhere. We're told to expect new games based both on new and existing IP.

Further highlighting third-party support for the PS3, Tretton showed the audience Haze, promising that Ubisoft's FPS will be exclusive to the PS3 this Christmas. Elsewhere Sony announce a new deal with Epic Games that will see the Unreal Engine fully-optimised for their next-gen console.

We also learn that Unreal Tournament 3 with be a PS3 exclusive 'this year', and that you'll be able to move mods created for the PC over to the PS3. Tretton then took the audience on a whistle-stop tour of other promising releases, including Assassin's Creed, CoD 4 Modern Warfare, Resident Evil 5, Burnout Paradise and more besides - promising over 100 new games presently in-development.
